the beauty of new england
My Favorite Locations for
Engagement Sessions
I'll just say it. New Englanders are pretty damn lucky to be surrounded by so many different types of stunning scenery. We live in one of the few parts of the country that has a historic & lively city, rolling mountains, tranquil lakes, and sandy beaches - all at our fingertips! We're blessed with all four seasons - colorful blooming flowers, vibrant foliage, and cozy ski towns. There's a little bit of something here for everyone and choosing a location for your engagement photos should be a very personal decision to reflect you both as a couple. Below, I will share some questions to consider when choosing a location for your engagement session along with an extensive list of my favorite spots and the best times to visit!

Questions to Consider When Choosing Your Engagement Session Location
- Do you plan to use these images on your Save the Dates? If so, do you want them to reflect the general season and vibe of your wedding day? If you're getting married in October, do you prefer colorful foliage on your Save the Dates? If you're having a tented wedding by the ocean, do you prefer a beach themed Save the Date? Are you having a swanky, black tie event in the Boston - consider getting dolled up and frolicking through the city in formal attire!
- If you aren't too worried about your Engagement Photos matching your wedding's season/vibe/colors, then start thinking about you favorite season and/or sentimental locations.
- Make it personal! Do you spend every winter weekend in the mountains, your summers at the lake, or love hiking together? Did you meet while you were both working in the city? Was your first date at the fair or your proposal at the beach?
